Meal Preparation

Nutritious meals prepared to personal tastes and dietary requirements, from planning and shopping to cooking and washing up. Good nutrition supports health, independence and quality of life.

Our approach

Food that fits the person.

Good nutrition is central to health and recovery at home. Our carers prepare meals to the individual's tastes, cultural preferences and any dietary requirements, whether that means a simple hot lunch, a full evening meal, or help with eating. Nothing is standardised; everything is built around the person.

Meal planning

Discussing preferences, dietary requirements and portion sizes to plan a varied, nutritious weekly menu.

Grocery shopping

Buying the right ingredients, either alongside the client or on their behalf.

Cooking & preparation

Preparing and cooking hot meals to the person's taste, dietary needs and usual standards.

Help with eating

Assisted feeding for clients who need support eating, carried out with patience and dignity.

Hydration support

Ensuring drinks are available and consumed throughout the day, particularly important for older clients.

Washing up & kitchen tidying

Leaving the kitchen clean and safe after every visit.

Arrange meal support

Standalone or as part of a care plan

Meal preparation can be arranged as a standalone lunchtime or evening visit, or as part of a broader visiting care package. During the free assessment we will discuss dietary requirements, preferences and how many meals per day are needed.
